All he ever talks about is Tim Burton

A Life Obsession

"Leave me alone you parasites!"

We hope by now that you’ve all met our eight young Burton Tour Guides; you’ll get to find out more about them in the coming weeks. Such was the depth of talent in the auditions for the role that the blog team has decided to bring you some of our other favourite videos.

First off the rank is a couple of lads making the most of the three minutes they had to make their pitch as tour guide for Tim Burton: The Exhibition:

Jem Moore (Burtonite)

“How much knowledge does it take before it can ruin people lives?” Jem Moore’s piece features a fine ensemble cast of friends and family in a lend of the current affairs TV show format. So convincing are their performances that we genuinely began to worry for them all. We can imagine this video effortlessly holding its own between stories of dodgy repairmen and overweight cats and have no hesitation in awarding Jem and his suffering friends our Naomi Robson Award.

Nick Inglefinger

Nick Inglefinger chose the ‘slacker’ genre as inspiration for his tour guide audition, and he may well have set a new benchmark. Nick is not shy about putting forward his musical talents, including an energetic performance on the drums, and introduces us to the joys of tasting paintwork. We did note his extended ‘director’s cut’ also floating around YouTube and were particularly riveted at the 05:00 mark where Nick leaves camera to fetch a glass of water. Unfortunately Nick did not take heed of our Terms & Conditions which explicitly stated that entries were not to include any attempts at Cossack dancing.

Thanks Jem. Thanks Nick. And thanks to everyone who participated – you’ve created quite a community out there. We hope you all feel a part of the exhibition.

More auditions to come…
