Somewhat appropriately, the crowd started gathering in the dead of night to secure a spot for the Tim Burton book signing at ACMI. By 8am the mass of shivering, but seriously enthused, Burtonites had swelled to intimidating dimensions.
Our first five arrivees sacrificied sleep and a warm bed to ensure their places in the queue.

First in, Best dressed: Dean Murphy, Emmit Voice, Nikki Delacovo, George Kellis (sporting a very impressive Edward Scissorhands tattoo!) & Julian Kiraga
Office workers may have easily been mistaken in thinking there was some sort of protest assembled upon the front steps of ACMI. However, it was more love-in than sit-in.
This dapper fellow caught our eye.
An insight into next years spring racing headgear? We hope so.
There were plenty of colourful characters in attendance in what was a staggeringly succesful day.
We’re very grateful to Tim Burton who was extraordinarily generous with his time and gracious with his many fans.
And let’s have another look at that tatt…!

Fun morning!
Just kind of curious if there was an idea of how many people actually ended up getting signings from Tim Burton and how many people were lined up for it.
Glad you enjoyed the signing! Tim ended up staying for about 2 and a half hours and signed about 450 books. Not a bad effort!
