Ella Pace, director in the making
Discovering her favourite director at the age of 8 with The Nightmare Before Christmas, Ella says she has literally grown up with Tim Burton, eagerly awaiting each new film.
She loves Burton’s creative expression of the dark side of life and the way that he embraces difference. Her favourite film is Edward Scissorhands, because she can identify with the main character, who creates beauty in a dull world.
Ella likes that Tim Burton is always open to the possibilities of creativity and carries his sketchbook around wherever he goes, which helps to make his art spontaneous and honest. He has influenced and inspired her to make her own films and art, transforming her feelings of being different into something positive.
She hopes to be a great director too one day.
