One more set of Burty inspired entries
This is our third tribute to the brilliance of the Tim Burton Tour Guide entrants. As we have lamented before, the selection of 12 winners from this Olympic-sized entry pool was difficult. Very difficult. As a consequence, we couldn’t bear letting some of the near-misses go unnoticed. Cast your eyeballs over these Youtubian spectacles.
ACMI goes bush: Moyne Shire Premiere Screenings
As part of our In the Regions program ACMI were out and about in south west Victoria recently to showcase films created in local communities. It was a celebration of the diversity of people found in these regions and the unique approach of the local area to telling stories about Australian identity.

Richard Lowenstein’s Dogs in Space revels in a particular historical moment: the final, dying spin of the Catherine Wheel that was Melbourne 70s punk culture before its raffish spirit dissipated in the safer, blander decade of the 1980s.
