Get ready for awesomeness when DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition takes over from Thursday 10 April – Sunday 5 October as part of Melbourne Winter Masterpieces.
With expert animators and unparalleled creative minds joining us during the opening week of the exhibition, we’re offering a peek inside the walls of the studio that brought Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and The Croods (among many more) to the big screen.
Two days prior to the cutting the exhibition ribbon, Chief Creative Officer, Bill Damaschke will discuss his career and central role in DreamWork Animation’s future releases, as well as providing expert insight into one of the world’s largest animation studios on Tuesday 8 April.
On Thursday 10 April, Bill joins Production Designers Kendal Cronkhite (Madagascar) and Christophe Lautrette (The Croods, Kung Fu Panda) and Visual Effects Supervisor Doug Cooper (The Prince of Egypt, Spirit: Stallion of Cimarron) at Inside the Studio, an exclusive panel that invites you inside the DreamWorks Animation creative processes. Discover how they’ve evolved since opening their doors and imagination 20 years ago.
Later in the evening Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Jeffrey Katzenberg, will take part in an In Conversation event explaining how DreamWorks Animation became the largest animation studio in the world. To date, the studio is responsible for 28 critically and commercially acclaimed animated features that have earned nine Oscar nominations and twice taken out Best Animated Feature.
DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition opens on Thursday 10 April and runs until Sunday 5 October 2014.
