Comedian and writer Kitty Flanagan recently joined us for Desert Island Flicks, where she revealed her top five films of all time.
After making a name for herself in Australia doing stand-up and appearing on sketch show Full Frontal, Kitty moved to London and toured the major comedy festivals around the world including Edinburgh, Montreal, Kilkenny and even Cape Town.
While based in the UK she put her comedic talent to good use, appearing on the hit English comedy program The Sketch Show. She also directed a short film and wrote for TV shows for the BBC, Channel Four and Sky Television.
To the delight of the nation, Kitty’s now back on our shores performing her hilarious stand-up across the country, writing for film and television and appearing as a correspondent for Channel 10’s The Project.
In Desert Island Flicks, Kitty discussed the unpredictability of Out of Sight, the flush of new romance as depicted in Junebug and why she wanted to give John Michael McDonagh, writer and director of The Guard, a standing ovation after watching his film.
