When we launched our Burton Wonderland Gallery back in May, we asked for your help to put together a fantastical online collection of Burton-inspired artwork, to accompany the Tim Burton exhibition at ACMI.
From paintings to photographs, collage to sculpture, drawings to costume design, we received 300 amazing and original artworks, reflecting the spirit and aesthetic of Burton.
Congratulations to everyone who submitted their work and made the gallery such a weird and wonderful place to visit. You can view all of the artworks on ACMI’s Flickr.
Tim Burton graciously agreed to help us select his favourites from the abundance of artwork we received.
“I’ve been really impressed with the quality of work that I’ve seen in the In A Burton Wonderland online gallery. The artworks are so varied and interesting that it made it very hard to choose the top ten. All the artists who submitted work to ACMI should be really proud of their creations,” said Tim.
Here are the fourteen that particularly caught Tim’s eye.
Which is your favourite?
